After we worked up a sweat we headed back to the house to get ready for our Veuve Clicquot Picnic + Pedal! This was one of my favorite experiences from our stay- it was so relaxing riding around the beautiful property and picking the perfect spot for a picnic. They have a beautiful golf course, tennis courts, pickleball, paddle boarding, biking, boating- really anything you can imagine. We had a very busy day planned but squeezed in a few quick games of pickleball! The Montage Palmetto Bluff offers a variety of recreational actives which makes it easy to spend time outside. We took a bike ride, watched the sunrise over the water, and started the day with a coffee at Buzz. I always love to wake up early on vacation to make the most of each day- plus my internal alarm clock rarely lets me sleep past 6am! During my last stay at Palmetto Bluff I woke up to watch the sunrise over the May River and saw so many dolphins- it was an experience I’ll never forget and I was so excited to have the girls experience this with me on our trip. They have the cutest market on the property called RT’s perfect to grab the essentials! ![]() You can enjoy lemonade, sweet tea, and cookies on the porch daily- a Palmetto Bluff tradition! It’s such a southern classic and always delicious at Palmetto Bluff! We ended the night with a variety of sweet treats and were excited for everything planned on day two! They also have a fire and s’mores at night which is so much fun- we stopped on our way back to the house. We loved seeing all of the activities they had planned for kids!įor dinner our first night we headed to Octagon which I’ve dreamed of since my last visit! The red pepper soup was absolutely divine and I ordered the classic shrimp and grits for my main course. One of the pools is adult only so perfect if you’re on a relaxing getaway but there are others pools that welcome everyone and are perfect for a family trip. It makes sense why the property feels so calming and untouched!Īfter the tour we snuck in a few minutes by the pool – we really lucked out and had amazing weather the entire trip! There are multiple pools at Palmetto Bluff which is perfect for whatever type of relaxation you are looking for. After settling in Meghan gave us a golf cart tour of the property and shared so many unique details with us! One thing that really stood out to me is how much they prioritize preservation. You can take advantage of the amenity’s on the property while staying at all of these accommodations. There are a lot of places to stay at Palmetto Bluff and if you are traveling with a larger group the homes and cottages are a perfect option! They also have a luxurious Inn as an option for your stay. It truly felt like home the moment we stepped in the door. We arrived in the afternoon and were so thrilled to check into our Village Home! They greeted us with champagne upon check in and then we took a short drive to the house. I’m going to break up this post by recapping each day we were there- we did a short stay and were able to squeeze so much in! Day One Every house on the property has a front porch and is so beautiful to drive or bike through. We are staying in the cutest house that felt like home the moment we stepped foot in the door. It’s my third time enjoying the property- perfect for a girls trip, romantic weekend, family getaway, and everything in between. (Though the resort also charges a $50 a night resort fee.) The Montage Palmetto Bluff sits on Village Park Square, right along the May River (about 95 miles south of Charleston and around 20 miles northeast of Savannah).If you want to visit a slice of heaven, you need to book a trip to Montage Palmetto Bluff. There's also a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course on-site, as well as alligator-spotting excursions, day trips to Daufuskie Island and marshland kayaking in the surrounding area. ![]() Guests can choose to stay in a room within the main house, or within a private cottage. You can dine on the area's freshest seafood at the inn's Canoe Club and experience some of the South's trademark charm from the ever-present and accommodating staff members. You don't even need to leave the resort premises to enjoy the culture – the property's screened-in shabby-chic porches are a prime setting to enjoy a Carolina sunset. And for recent visitors, there's no better place to make your home base than the alluring Montage Palmetto Bluff. But this quaint town is also rife with opportunities to explore the South Carolina low country. Some see Bluffton, South Carolina, as the gateway into Hilton Head Island, which is just 8 miles farther east.
